Languedoc, large amphitheater bordering the Mediterranean sea, is the biggest wine-growing region in the world. Already renowned in the time of the Greeks and Romans, this vineyard witnessed the origins of modern vine growing and oenology. It is nowadays the birthplace of France's new great wines.
